Yes, you can. The generator doesn't have anything to do with the chassis electrical system. It produces 120v ac power.Answer #3:
All Motorhomes are equiped with generators designed to be used while going down the road as well as when you are sitting still.I have a 38 ft diesel coach with a 7,000 watt diesel generator. I live in Florida. When we leave home on an RV trip I (a) start the engine and (b) start the generator (after unplugging from shore power).
My RV refrigerator runs on LP gas and 120 volt electric. When I see that the fridge has changed over from LP to AC power I then turn on one or both air conditioners.
I also run the dash air.
