How about Niagara Falls? Then you can cross over into Canada and check it out.I would definitely recommend going abroad though. You really should see the world (and therefore the USA) from a different perspective while you're young. It's the best possible education you can allow your self to have.
but if you don't want to get a passport (roughly $85) you could check out Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands. they're wonderful!
